Dolmabahce Palace was built between 1843-1856 and was ordered by Sultan Abdulmecit I. It was the administrative center of the late Ottoman Empire. After the Turkish Republic when Mustafa Kemal Ataturk come to Istanbul he stayed and welcomed his foreign guests at Dolmabahce Palace. Also, Ataturk spent his last time here.

PIERRE LOTI HILL, The hill was named after the French novelist and naval officer Pierre Loti who visited Istanbul several times and stayed many years.

CITY WALLS, The first breach of the walls was by the Fourth Crusade in 1204, the second by the cannons and troops of Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1453.
